Washington County provides full-time employees with basic life and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance at a flat benefit amount of $15,000 at no cost to you.
Life Insurance will help financially protect you and your family in the case of death or serious injury.

Supplemental Life Benefits
Please read the below as we are excited to offer an enhanced Supplemental Life and AD&D plan!
Supplemental Life and AD&D: 0.5 – 1.0 FTE Employees are eligible for this benefit
You can purchase employee Supplemental Life and AD&D Insurance coverage up to 5x your salary up to $500,000, with a guaranteed issue amount of $150,000. If electing over the guaranteed issue, you will need to complete Lincoln Financial’s Evidence of Insurability (EOI) Form – see HR for details. Lincoln Financial will approve your application and inform Washington County to start after-tax payroll deductions. Employees pay 100% of this benefit. Rates are based on employee age. See rate table below for rates.

Dependent Spouse/Child Life Insurance: 0.5 – 1.0 FTE
Employees pay 100% of this benefit.
Employees can purchase Dependent Life for $2.50 per month with no health questions during this enrollment. Lincoln Financial will provide $10,000 in Spouse Life Insurance and $5,000 in Child Life Insurance. This is a bundled policy regardless if you have a spouse or any number of children.
